Authors Note:The book that I am currently reading is called Chain's. When I picked out this book to read for literature group I had figured that it was going to be about slavery. I later figured out that I was right out the slavery part but there is so much more to this book. I love how they incorporate the war that is going on in the book it is the Revolutionary War. Around this war that is going on there are many secrets around town.That's why I wanted to write a poem about the subject. I am working on my descriptive word choice so that you can get picture in your mind. Throughout this poem I am also striving to improving my voice so that reader can know that I am writing it from my heart. I am making sure that in this poem there is enough meat and content in the wording. I worked very hard on this piece so I hope you enjoy it!
Keep hidden
Away from the world
Is it a method
Or a scheme
To try to find pleasure
In avoiding reality
Thinking no one knows
But do they
Keeping one
May drive you to the grave
Does it remain concealed?

I really enjoyed how you made your piece into a poem. I also liked how you made it about secrets.You had nice description and good words. You did well with the assignment and your writing has gotten better from previous writing pieces. Keep it up with the writing and nice job!
